For any Second Cup enthusiasts out there, you can get a "free" download of a new Shaye song (I'm assuming from the upcoming "Lake of Fire" album) when you buy a beverage from them. It says you need to buy a "fall feature" drink, but I bought any old one and received the coupon anyway. If you go here: www.secondcup.com/eng/mp3_pin.php, you can see what the coupon looks like, and once you get it, just enter the pin number to download it. If you click on Shaye's bio, there's a new promo picture for I assume the new album. The song is Ghost to the World, and it is amazing, I'm loving their new stuff. I believe it's a song they wrote, but I'm not sure. Lyrics: Ghost To The World"Waiting on the train, ain’t wanted for nothing, never will again. Leaving all the pain, I give up hope that my life would change. And I’m gone, gonna get gone, so far gone. Wasting so much time, turning the page, towing the line. Hangin’ for my crimes, never took nothing that wasn’t mine. And I’m gone, gonna get gone, so far gone. And I’m gone, gonna get gone, so far gone. (Gonna get.. gonna get...) Woke last night from the strangest dream, fish were lying by the stream. Saw me struggling underneath, saying ‘don’t forget to breathe’. Spoke to me in another tounge, ‘child your life here has just begun, let the tide take you out to sea, just don’t forget to breathe.’ And I’m gone, gonna get gone, so far gone. (Gonna get....gonna get...) And I’m gone, gonna get gone, so far gone."

OOH! Exciting story!!! Went to the Second Cup around the corner from me (Yonge & Wood), only to find a huge lineup. Literally, extending out the door and onto the street. Why would there be a lineup out the door at Second Cup you may ask? More on that in a minute. Not wanting to wait, I circled once, noting a camera and video screen outside, and racked my brain for the nearest Second Cup. Off to the Eaton Centre I went, where I found the Second Cup. While waiting in line, I noted a rack of CDs by the cash. Looking over, I saw a CD by Shaye! It's called "selections," obviously a Second Cup exclusive, but it had new tracks so I forked over the $12.99 for the 7-track CD. Tracklist: 1. Happy Baby 2. On & On 3. Beauty 4. No Mermaid 5. How The West Was Won [All from the Bridge] 6. We Will Not Be Lovers 7. Somewhere Somehow tracks 6 + 7 from the new album "Lake of Fire" Available digitally and in stores November 7, 2006 Visit us at www.shayemusic.com[the website, however, has still not been updated] Anyways, I'm listening right now, will post lyrics either tonight or tomorrow. I also promise scans of the album cover. Go get it, right now! So as I ordered my Maple Latte I was informed that for purchasing a seasonal beverage I got a free download (duh, that's why I was there!) and I got my coupon for it, I'm going to download right now. On the way back, I walked by the initial Second Cup, only to find that Ron Sexsmith was performing there! Not being a huge fan of his, and being tired and eager to get home and listen to my Shaye CD, I only stopped for a minute to watch. How cool!

www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/September2006/13/c5659.htmlSurprise performances include Shaye!!!! Does anyone know anyone that can hook us up with dates and locations?!??! EDIT: Eeek I post too much. Listening to Ghost To The World, it's actually an MP3 so if you know someone with it, it's completely share-able. It was labelled as being by "Genius," but the song by the band called Genius with that title has completely different lyrics. Also, I just noticed that the two 'new' songs are actually covers... so no lyrics posting, just Google it

Alright, my last post for tonight (I think I'm officially insane) Here's the cover, as promised. Apologies for the poor cropping quality and for stretching the screen.

So.... I just realized. Track 7, labelled "Somewhere, somehow," is actually called "Someway Somehow." It was written by Ron Sexsmith for Shaye in 2003 (presumably it didn't make the cut on The Bridge) and he recorded it himself that year for his Rarities album. Leave it to Second Cup to have typos on their albums lol.

More Shaye songs are listed on the Second Cup site - Happy Baby, and Star - both available October 13. These are displayed as "live", so I am assuming from the Halifax performance. Must go buy more latte's! ;D

Grrr, if you go to Second Cup to get these download things, make sure you ask BEFORE you order if they have any more slips. I bought a Maple Latté today (which, admittedly, was delicious) and they had run out. Grrr.

So I finally got these other two downloads, they're great! Both songs are live from Second Cup, but the sound quality is really good! I hope everyone's had a chance to get them!

Dang... I don't live in Canada (or in the US), and so can't access this Second Cup place. Can someone please help this poor fan who wants to hear the singles?

I just picked up my copy today and had the price for cd been visible, I probably would not have bought it. Most of the tracks are from "The Bridge", with the last two from the forth coming cd "Lake of Fire".
If I had been drinking a latte, I would have either choked on it or would have had the latte gushing from my nostrils when the cashier said "$14.76" for the cd:)
Damn, I didn't pay that much for the first cd...and it was a double cd.
Well at least I'll be able to get it autographed next week at their First Canadian Place Show.

"Ghost to the World" actually turned out to be a mislabeling on Second Cup's part. It's really "So Far Gone", which is on the Lake of Fire album!

Ahh, cool. Thanks for the info! ... I guess if I actually bothered to read the entire OP I would have recognized it by the lyrics
