Does anyone know the exact date that the cd is coming out? I'm so confused. On the main site it says November 5th and when you go to EMI it says Expected Release Date: December 31, 2007.... I was like what? And on Amazon.ca it says November 14th. If anyone could help me out that would be great!

I'm looking at the new Future Shop flyer and "Lake of Fire" is slated to be released on Tues.
They have it for $12.99.

Sweet re: Future Shop. They're usually pretty on top of things I think. Hopefully it's still out on Tuesday! If it's not I'll be sure to ask them why not at First Cdn Place!

Sorry, I meant the main page on the Shaye site says Nov 7th. Woops! That's where i'll probably be getting it. Future Shop always has the best price for cds.

I'm assuming (and hoping) that this is just a computer glitch, but the official Shaye site, and EMI now says the release date is February 6, 2007. I guess they like to keep us guessing.... I saw the ad in the Future Shop flyer - can they be trusted to have it?

Best Buy has the cd for $11.99. Both stores are pretty accurate for their release dates.
Maybe the Feb dates are for the Japanese market or hopefully a U.S. release.

So strange. The other day it did say Nov 7th and now it's pushed forward till 2007? So strange. I checked on both the Best Buy site and Future Shop and I no longer see the new cd listed. It looks like it will be released next year. If they are still doing their show at First Canadian and someone is going... be sure to ask what's up!

The CD has officially been pushed back to Feb. 6th, 2007. I just got back from seeing Shaye play at the First Canadian Place...and they confirmed it (after I went on a hunt for the CD at about half-a-dozen different stores!). Apparently it should actually be available for digital download today on iTunes...but I tried and haven't had any luck so far finding it! (That's what Dav and Kim told me)

They told me the same, and I just checked www.PureTracks.com and it IS available for a complete download there -- there's even a feature link on the main page (in the banner ads near the top).

I spoke to Dav while she was in HMV and she had mentioned that because of the documentary that is being filmed, which I believe Global has picked up, the record company has decided to push back the cd release until Feb for a bigger push.
Makes sense though. Until the single gets into higher rotation on the air, it would have been detrimental to the success of the cd, especially now with the Christmas hoopla in full swing.
Plus with Kim Stockwood's Christmas cd coming out today, it would have been down right crazy.
Dav did mention though that the cd is available for a full download at Itunes, so if there is great interest, maybe the cd will be given an earlier date.

This is the documentary that they were filming in Burlington and other places? It got picked up by Global tv? Any news on when that will air? At least now we know the official date for the cd. Thanks so much guys for asking!

Yes, that's the same documentary, though I'm not sure about the Global part. All I know is I signed a waiver for the use of my image! lol.
So I guess the official word is:
Online release date: Today CD release date: February 6, 2007.
I asked them a few times "what happened" and kinda got ignored each time, something tells me it's a sore topic with them. Though this is certainly a unique marketing approach.

Me too! They came right up to me after they filmed me meeting Dav before. I just hope they don't use it. I was a dork. Sounds like they have a lot of footage. That sucks that it got ignored. Oh well, I don't mind waiting... we'll get twice the Shaye next year!
