My Alanis story: So, I've never actually been to a show (I know, for shame), but I've definitely been guilty of knowing all of the lyrics to Jagged Little Pill and singing them at high volumes for extended periods of time. I think my grade 6 teacher started to get annoyed at me for singing outside the portable . I think she's amazing, although I have to confess that I don't actually own any post-JLP albums. Will have to remedy that. Oh, and I'm also entirely jealous that she's engaged to Ryan Reynolds.

Oh, and I'm also entirely jealous that she's engaged to Ryan Reynolds. Haha. ditto. Were you singing You OUghta Know outside the portable? That could be problematic! lol

jagged little pill = my very frist cd. i was...11 i think. i LOVEd it, but was completely unaware of the secret song for about 2 years. but i uess that's how an 11 year olds mind works: "the song is done, lets turn the cd off!" short attention spans unite! hahahaha

Wow me too! Actually Jagged Little Pill was my first audio cassette... and mine didn't have the hidden track (*pouts*). I ended up buying the CD a few years later just for Your House!! hehe

Wow, now I feel old. I remember Alanis from her "Never Too Hot" video.
Can't wait to see her in June at the Hummingbird.
Jason Mraz is opening.

I have really lousy seats. When Shaye performed last year with Dido, I had 5th row centre aisle seats.
Word has it, most of the Jason Mraz fans are planning to leave after his set. I plan on moving up to the stage as close as possible.

The show was amazing, but I could have done without the sing alongs, but that seems to happen at all of Alanis's shows.
Kudos to "Never Too Hot" but I miss the dance routine!
Jason Mraz rocked as usual, but I was surprised to see how many people didn't know who he was.

Yeah it's weird, it seemed like either you were a HUGE fan of Jason Mraz or knew NOTHING about him. I think once he sang Remedy most people figured it out.
The singers were annoying. I mean I sing along to SOME songs, when it's appropriate, but there were two people sitting behind me that sang along to the ENTIRE show and horribly out of tune... and off the beat (she changed the pacing of it for some songs, 'cause of the whole 'acoustic' thing). Let alone the people SCREAMING the entire freaking time. My goodness.

As annoying as the screamers and the singers were, I'll take them, albeit, with a grain of salt over the stoned face concert goers.
I had people around me, especially the two guys to my left who barely moved other than to go to the loo.
Most these people would have a better time watching paint dry.
I did notice a lot of boyfriends who were wrangled by their girlfriends to be there. ;D

I wonder if anyone out there will see this... Before the show a friend and I were standing outside the doors to the auditorium, before they let people in. There was music coming from inside -- it was Alanis' voice but I realized it wasn't her song. It sounded like a cover of "Crazy" (I think that's what it's called) by Seal... anyone know anything about this?

Was this before Jason Mraz went on or before Alanis came on?

This was before we were even allowed into the theatre part.
